Iran’s President Urges Switzerland to Remain Independent against US
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – President of Iran Ebrahim Raisi called on Switzerland to preserve its independent role in the face of the US’ unilateral policies.
In a meeting with the new Swiss ambassador to Tehran on Monday, Raisi hailed the friendly relations between Iran and Switzerland.
“Switzerland has always played a positive role in maintaining and promoting peace, and is expected to be able in the new era to preserve its independent role in the face of the US’ unilateral policies,” the Iranian president added.
For his part, Christian Dussey lauded Iran for its rich and stellar civilization, saying Bern and Tehran have held good relations in the political, cultural, economic and scientific fields for more than a century.
The new envoy also expressed hope for the resumption of activities of the Swiss companies in Iran.
