No COVID Deaths Reported in 25 Provinces of Iran
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Twenty-five provinces in Iran have reported zero new deaths from COVID-19 in the past 24 hours, according to the Health Ministry.
Over the past 24 hours, 2,128 new cases of COVID-19 infection were reported in Iran, with 351 of them hospitalized, the Health Ministry said on Tuesday.
It put the death toll from COVID-19 in Iran at 131,474, saying the disease has taken the lives of 40 patients over the past 24 hours, while no patient has died in 25 provinces.
More than 6,030,600 individuals have recovered or been discharged from hospitals out of a total of 6,188,800 who have contracted the disease, the ministry added.
Some 2,751 victims of COVID-19 are in severe condition and are being treated in intensive care facilities, it said.
The ministry also said that over 59.65 million Iranians have received the first dose of the coronavirus vaccine, over 51.54 million have received the second dosage, and more than 6.75 million have gotten the booster shots.
The number of people infected with COVID-19 across the world has surpassed 281 million and the death toll has exceeded 5.42 million.
