Esteghlal Edges Foolal, Persepolis Beats Sepahan: IPL
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Esteghlal and Persepolis football teams defeated their opponents on Matchweek 12 of the Iran Professional League (IPL) on Wednesday.
In Tehran, Esteghlal defeated Foolad 1-0 courtesy of Mehdi Mehdipour’s goal in the 58th minute.
Esteghlal remains on top with 28 points.
Persepolis also edged past its archrival Sepahan 1-0 in Arak. Kamal Kamyabinia opened Sepahan’s goal with a header in the 33rd minute.
Persepolis sits second, three points behind Esteghlal.
