Iran Reports 30 COVID-Related Daily Deaths


TEHRAN (Tasnim) – The Iranian Health Ministry reported 30 more coronavirus-related daily deaths on Thursday, putting the total number of COVID-19 victims in the country at 132,002.

Over the past 24 hours, 2,394 new cases of COVID-19 infection were reported, with 274 of them hospitalized, the ministry said.

More than 6,058,500 individuals have recovered or been discharged from hospitals out of a total of 6,214,781 who have contracted the disease, it said.

The ministry also said that over 60,251,217 Iranians have received the first dose of the coronavirus vaccine, over 52,974,192 have received the second dosage, and more than 11,745,289 have gotten the booster shots.

Confirmed cases of COVID-19 have passed 317.8 million globally. The number of confirmed deaths from the disease has now passed 5.53 million. More than 9.53 billion vaccination doses have been administered globally, according to Our World in Data.
