Iran’s President Highlights Potential for Cooperation with Serbia


TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi pointed to the ample opportunities for cooperation with Serbia in various fields, hailing the efforts to expand relations between the two nations.

In a Tuesday message to his Serbian counterpart Aleksandar Vucic, President Raisi congratulated Serbia on its Statehood Day.

He also expressed satisfaction with the valuable efforts that the officials of the two countries have made in recent months to strengthen and promote relations between Tehran and Belgrade in various fields, particularly the economic ties.

President Raisi also noted that Iran and Serbia have great capacities for cooperation at the bilateral, regional and international levels.

Statehood Day in Serbia is celebrated on February 15, marking the anniversary of recognition of the Serbian state from the Ottoman Empire back in 1804.
