More Yemeni Civilians Killed Or Injured As Saudi-Led Coalition Intensifies Air Attacks
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Fresh airstrikes as well as missile and artillery attacks were carried out by the Saudi-led military coalition on residential areas in different Yemeni provinces, killing at least one civilian and injuring more than 10 others.
According to Yemen's al-Masirah TV channel, Saudi-led airplanes bombed northwestern Hajjah Province 18 times on Tuesday, killing one civilian and injuring ten others.
More airstrikes were also carried out on the Yemeni regions of al-Jawf, Ma'rib, and Taiz.
Six Yemeni civilians were also injured as a result of Saudi missile and artillery strikes on the Monabbih region of Sa'ada province.
Also, over the past 24 hours, the Saudi-led coalition fighter jets recorded 95 violations of a ceasefire declared in the port city of Hudaydah.
In March 2015, Saudi Arabia launched a deadly military campaign against its southern neighbor, working with a number of allies and receiving supplies and logistical help from the United States and other Western countries.
The goal was to restore the former Riyadh-backed regime to power and crush the popular Ansarullah resistance movement, which had been running the country in the absence of a functioning government.
The war has stopped well shy of all of its goals, despite killing tens of thousands of Yemenis and turning entire Yemen into the scene of the world’s worst humanitarian crisis.
In the meantime, Yemeni forces have continued to grow stronger in the face of the Saudi-led invaders, advancing toward strategic areas held by Saudi-led mercenaries, including Ma’rib province, and conducting several rounds of counterstrikes against Saudi Arabia and the UAE.
