Iran Praises Oman’s Concern for Palestine, Yemen
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – The president of Iran lauded the Sultanate of Oman for adopting right and decent policies and paying attention to Palestine, Yemen and regional security.
In a meeting with Oman’s Foreign Minister Sayyid Badr Albusaidi, held in Tehran on Wednesday, President Ebrahim Raisi hailed Oman’s graceful stances, which he said are different from those of certain regional countries.
“Oman’s concern for Palestine, Yemen and regional issues is remarkable,” the president said.
Lauding the Omani government’s special attention to the regional security, the Muslim world and the oppressed in West Asia, Raisi said, “Our determination and policy in the Islamic Republic of Iran is to promote cooperation with the friendly states, particularly Oman.”
He also stressed the need for efforts to enhance the economic and trade ties between Tehran and Muscat considering their great capacities.
For his part, the Omani foreign minister appreciated Iran for supporting its neighbors, saying the perfect relations between the two countries which are based upon mutual trust and respect benefit the regional and international security.
During a visit to Oman in January, Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian described the sultanate as a main priority when it comes to regional cooperation, stressing the need for the promotion of political, economic and cultural relations between Tehran and Muscat.
