Israeli Forces Fatally Shoot Palestinian Teen in Occupied East Al-Quds

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – A Palestinian teenager was fatally shot by Israeli forces in East al-Quds on Sunday, the Palestinian health ministry said.

Yamen Nafez Jafal, 16, was shot by the Israeli forces in the village of Abu Dis in East al-Quds on Sunday.

Local sources told the Palestinian Information Center that Israeli forces injured Jafal as they raided the area.

According to the report, the Israeli troops banned an ambulance from reaching the injured as he was bleeding.

According to the sources, Jafal was taken to the hospital after being held captive by Israeli military for a long period. Later, he was pronounced dead.

Inhaling tear gas deployed by Israeli troops against Palestinian young men during conflicts in the hamlet caused lung problems for an unknown number of Palestinians.

The teen's murder was confirmed by the Israeli regime’s military.

A spokesman for the Israeli army claimed that its troops opened fire against two Palestinians over the allegation that they had hurled Molotov cocktails on a military position near Abu Dis, adding that one of the wounded succumbed to his injuries.

Meanwhile, the Palestinian resistance movement Hamas called Jafal's death a "full-fledged war crime" on Monday.

“The execution of the young man, Yamen Nafez Jafal, reflects the terrorism of the occupation army and its leaders, and their disregard for all international laws, resolutions and institutions,” Hamas spokesman Hazem Qassem said.

"These crimes will not deter our people's just struggle to reclaim their land and sanctuaries, and to establish their state with al-Quds as its capital," he said.

The spokesman called the international community to hold the Israeli regime leaders accountable in the International Criminal Court for their crimes against humanity.

Jafal was the second Palestinian to be killed by Israeli troops in al-Quds in less than 24 hours.

Kareem Jamal Qawasmi, 19, was shot dead by Israeli police near Bab al-Huta neighborhood, north of al-Aqsa Mosque, at dawn on Sunday. He was accused of stabbing Israeli soldiers.

Israeli soldiers have been captured on camera mercilessly executing Palestinians on multiple occasions, with the recordings going viral online and drawing international outrage.

The Tel Aviv regime has been chastised for its widespread use of lethal force against Palestinians who do not pose an immediate threat to the occupation troops or Israeli settlements, as well as for extrajudicial killings of Palestinians.
