Iran Reports 91 More Deaths from COVID-19
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – The Iranian Health Ministry on Friday reported 91 more deaths from COVID-19 over a 24-hour period as the spring festival holidays begin.
Iranian health officials reported 2,175 new cases of infection in the country, among which 419 people were hospitalized
Unfortunately, 91 new COVID-related deaths have been reported in the last 24 hours, bringing the total death toll from this disease to 139,478, Iran's Health Ministry announced on Friday.
The ministry also reported that 6,812,005 patients out of a total of 7,137,894 have been recovered or discharged from hospitals so far, while 2,167 patients with COVID-19 infection are still being cared for in the intensive care units of hospitals around the country.
So far, 48,6016118 COVID-19 diagnostic tests have been performed throughout the country.
The ministry also announced that 63,728,118 Iranians have received the first dose and 56,486,612people have so far received the second dose of the COVID-19 vaccine.
Moreover, 25,617,595 people have also received the third shot as the booster jab.
