Esteghlal Out of Iran’s Hazfi Cup
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Esteghlal football team was knocked out of Iran’s Hazfi Cup Monday night.
In the match, held in Tehran’s Azadi Stadium ahead of the fans, Esteghlal lost to Nassaji 5-4 in a penalty shootout following a goalless draw.
Nassaji will face Mes Kerman while Aluminum meet Khalij Fars Mahshahr in the semifinals.
Sunday night, Persepolis suffered a bitter 3-2 loss at home against Aluminum.
