Two Weightlifters to Represent Iran at 2022 IWF Junior World Championships
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iranian weightlifters Alireza Yousefi and Yekta Jamali will compete at the 2022 International World Federation’s (IWF) Junior World Championships.
The championships will take place in Heraklion, Greece from May 2 to 10.
Yousefi, who won a gold medal at the 2018 Buenos Aires Youth Olympic Games, will compete at the men’s +109kg.
Jamali, who seized Iran’s first-ever medal in the weightlifting championships in women’s division, will take part at the women’s 87kg weight category.
This year’s Junior World Championships will see over 300 athletes from 61 countries competing for the World Champion titles.
