Anoushiravani Named Iran Weightlifting Federation’s Acting President
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Sajjad Anoushiravani was named as acting president of the Iran Weightlifting Federation on Tuesday.
Anoushiravani replaced Ali Moradi, who was forced to leave his post due to cancellation of the federation’s election.
Moradi was among eleven candidates who have been cleared to stand for the Presidency of the International Weightlifting Federation (IWF) in late June.
Anoushirvani is a silver medalist of the 2012 Summer Olympics in the men's +105 kg category.
