Ansarifard Scores against Manchester United in Europa League
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Omonia Nicosia's Iranian forward Karim Ansarifard scored against English side Manchester United in the UEFA Europa League on Thursday night.
The Cypriot team suffered a home 3-2 loss.
The Iranian striker found the back of the net in the 34th minute.
Marcus Rashford equalized early in the second half before assisting the other substitute Anthony Martial to put United in the lead.
Rashford then doubled United's lead late on before Omonia set up a nervy final few minutes when it halved the deficit.
