Kremlin Hopes Putin's Meeting with Aliyev, Pashinyan Will Take Place
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – The Kremlin expects Russian President Vladimir Putin to meet with his Azerbaijani counterpart Ilham Aliyev and Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters on Wednesday, without specifying the expected time and place of the talks.
"Such a trilateral meeting is being prepared, we hope it will take place," the Kremlin spokesman said. "We will give a timely update on the place and time," Peskov said on Wednesday, TASS reported.
Earlier on Wednesday, Armenian parliament speaker Alen Simonyan said that Pashinyan planned to travel to Sochi on October 31 to meet with Putin and Aliyev.
It was also earlier reported that Putin had invited Azerbaijani and Armenian leaders to Russia for another trilateral summit to discuss a whole range of trilateral and bilateral issues.
The previous talks between Putin, Aliyev and Pashinyan took place in Sochi in November 2021.
