Foreign Ministry Helps School Construction in Iran’s Underprivileged Area
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – An association of the Iranian Foreign Ministry has made a donation to a program for constructing schools in the least developed areas of the country.
The Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ Diplomatic Women Association has donated proceeds from a charity fundraising event that was held at the Center for Political and International Studies of the ministry in June to help build a school in the southeastern province of Sistan and Balouchestan.
The proceeds from the charity event, which was held in June with the participation of diplomat women and a number of foreign ambassadors’ wives in Iran, were handed over to the Sistan and Balouchestan Province’s Schools Renovation Organization for the construction of a six-classroom school in Mir Abdollah Village in Banjar County of the province.
Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian’s wife, in her capacity as the head of the Diplomatic Women Association, signed a memorandum of understanding with Lakzayi, the director general of renovation, development, and procurement for schools in Sistan and Balouchestan Province.
