Iranian Taekwondo Athletes Win Medals in Pakistan Open Tournament
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Danial Bozorgi and Omid Hosseini claimed a gold and a silver medal on Wednesday in the 4th Asian Open Taekwondo Championships underway in Pakistan.
In an all-Iranian final, Bozorgi beat Hosseini in the -74kg weight class.
Athletes from host Pakistan, Iran, Egypt, Bahrain, Afghanistan, Kazakhstan, Nepal, Oman and Sri Lanka vie for 26 gold medals in different categories of boys and girls during the four-day competitions.
The 4th Asian Open Taekwondo Championships are being held in Islamabad from October 31 to November 5.
The event is a G-2 event.
