Iran After Fresh Impetus to Ties with Georgia: Envoy
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran’s new ambassador to Tbilisi called for plans to diversify economic interaction with Georgia, stressing the need to give a fresh impetus to the relations between the two countries.
In a meeting with Prime Minister of Georgia Irakli Garibashvili, the Iranian envoy, Mahmoud Adib, emphasized the need to give a fresh stimulus to the relations between the two nations.
Highlighting the diverse capacities for economic cooperation between Tehran and Tbilisi, he called for plans to implement the transportation corridor projects, diversify energy transfer routes, and promote popular interactions between the two countries.
Garibashvili, for his part, hailed Iran for its role in ensuring regional peace and security.
The Georgian premier also described the settlement of conflicts among regional countries as the key to stability that paves the way for the development and prosperity of the states.
