Esteghlal Moves Top of IPL
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Esteghlal football team was held to a goalless draw by Mes Rafsanjan but moved provisionally top of the Iran Professional League (IPL) table.
On Friday, Esteghlal hosted Mes and the two teams played out a goalless draw in Tehran’s Aadi Stadium.
Now, the Blues are the IPL leader, one point ahead of Persepolis.
Zob Ahan came from a 2-0 deficit to draw 2-2 with Sanat Naft.
Foolad was held to a goalless draw by Havadar in Ahvaz.
Naft Masjed Soleyman, who sits bottom of the table, also suffered a 1-0 loss against Aluminum in Masjed Soleyman.
