People Run in Panic As Suspicious Bag Found in Turkey’s Istanbul (+Video)


TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Turkish police detonated a suspicious bag after it caused panic at the entrance of a building in Beyoğlu, Istanbul.

Last night, the presence of a suspicious bag in Istanbul's Galata Tower neighborhood prompted panic, as people began to flee believing the bag contained a bomb.

Meanwhile, the police detained a person who shouted, "I want to die anyway," and snatched the bag.

It was determined that personal belongings such as popcorn snacks, diapers and clothes were found inside the bag, which was exploded by the police.

According to the DHA new, the incident occurred on Sunday at around 22:00 in Bereketzade Mahallesi Büyükhendek Street. Police took necessary security measures in the surrounding area and tried to remove the citizens from the neighborhood.

Police began an investigation to find the person who left the bag at the scene.
