Iran-Pakistan Diplomatic Ties Celebrated on 76th Anniversary


TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Pakistan's capital, Islamabad, celebrated 76 years of diplomatic relations with Iran with a ceremony on Wednesday, coinciding with the Ten-Day Fajr (Dawn) celebrations marking the anniversary of the victory of Iran’s Islamic Revolution.

The event was jointly organized by the cultural section of the Iranian Embassy in Pakistan and the Institute of Strategic Studies Islamabad and was attended by diplomats, political figures, and journalists.

Iranian Ambassador Mohammad Ali Hosseini praised the political, cultural, and economic relations between the two Muslim, friendly, and neighboring countries. He highlighted Iran's growth and development in all fields despite external challenges and sanctions. The ambassador stated that Iran is ready to use its capacities to strengthen ties with neighboring countries, particularly Pakistan.

Pakistan's Ambassador to Iran, Rahim Hayat Qureshi, participated virtually and emphasized the historical, cultural, and social connections between the two nations. He expressed Pakistan's commitment to further enhancing relations with Iran despite international restrictions.

The ceremony also featured an exhibition showcasing pictures of Iran’s tourism attractions and handicrafts, as well as images related to the country’s Ten-Day Dawn celebration.
