Leader Underlines Efforts to Enhance IRGC’s Spiritual, Military Foundations

In a message that was read out by IRGC Commander Major General Salami at a gathering of the IRGC commanders and officials here in Tehran on Thursday morning, the Leader sent greetings to the IRGC forces.

Ayatollah Khamenei added that holding the gathering to outline the horizons of the movement of the IRGC and Basij toward the Islamic Revolution’s bright future is a source of joy and will, God willing, bring about blessings.  

“The IRGC is expected to amplify its efforts to recruit, train and teach talented youths at the level of the Islamic Revolution and (help) the forces achieve full capabilities to safeguard the revolution and enhance the IRGC’s spiritual, revolutionary and military foundations,” the Leader further said in the message.

The IRGC is a combined armed force of the Islamic Republic of Iran with its own ground force, navy, and air force. It also controls the Basij volunteer force.
