Abdollah Veisi Appointed Sanat Naft Coach

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Abdollah Veisi was appointed as the new head coach of Iran's Sanat Naft football team on Thursday night.

The 51-year-old coach has replaced Brazilian coach Edson Tavares.

Tavares was sacked following poor results in the Iran Professional League (IPL).

Veisi started his coaching career in 2006 as Foolad assistant coach and has worked at Saba, Paykan, Esteghlal Khuzestan, Sepahan, Naft Masjed Soleyman and Shahin Bushehr as head coach.

Sanat Naft sits 16th in the 16-team table with only 12 points out of 22 matches.
