Iran Loses to Uzbekistan at 2023 CAFA U-17 Women’s Championship
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran lost to Uzbekistan 4-1 in the 2023 CAFA U-17 Women’s Championship on Sunday.
Somayeh Esmaeili scored Iran’s only goal in the second half.
Iran will play Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan on Tuesday and Thursday.
Uzbekistan is the defending champion, having won the inaugural tournament in 2021.
The tournament is being held in Dushanbe, Tajikistan from March 12 to 16.
