Iran Downs Tajikistan at 2023 CAFA U-17 Women’s Championship
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran defeated Tajikistan 7-0 in the 2023 CAFA U-17 Women’s Championship on Tuesday.
Somayeh Esmaeili (three goals), Maryam Dini (two goals), Maedeh Birang and Shadan Shahmiri scored for Iran in this match.
Iran, who lost to Uzbekistan 4-1 in its first match, will play Kyrgyzstan on Thursday.
Uzbekistan is the defending champion, having won the inaugural tournament in 2021.
The tournament is being held in Dushanbe, Tajikistan from March 12 to 16.
