Iran’s National E-Government Services Window Selected ITU’s Top Project
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – The “National E-Government Services Window” was chosen as the exemplary project of the International Telecommunications Union (ITU) in the award section of the World Summit on the Information Society dubbed “WSIS 2023”.
Iranian Minister of Information Technology and Communications (ICT) Issa Zare’pour wrote in a post on social media that the realization of the objectives of the electronic government dubbed “e-government” is one of the strategic and important programs of the 13th administration in the field of information technology and communications.
“To this aim, we determined to implement this giant national project after years,” he added.
To date, 93 percent of executive organizations of the country have joined the “National E-Government Services Window”, he said, putting the number of services offered to users throughout the country at about 3,000.
At the contest of the World Summit on the Information Society Summit, held in Geneva, Switzerland, the ITU selected Iran's national project as one of the exemplary projects in the field of e-government.
The WSIS Prize Champion 2023 was awarded to the chairman of the Iran Information Technology Organization as represented by the ICT in this summit.
