Iran's Deputy FM Emphasizes Peaceful Resolution of Regional Issues
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran’s Deputy Foreign Minister for Political Affairs Ali Baqeri vowed to use Iran's full potential to find peaceful solutions to regional issues.
Baqeri emphasized the importance of developing relations with neighbors, especially with Armenia, during a press briefing in Yerevan.
He said that Iran’s stable position on the issue of establishing sustainable peace in the region was underscored during his talks with his Armenian counterpart.
"Iran is always a reliable partner in establishing peace and security," Baqeri said. He added that regional countries themselves are the guarantors of peace and stability and that foreign forces cannot ensure stability and peace, as they pursue other goals.
In response to questions about the ongoing Azerbaijani blockade of the Lachin Corridor and occupation of sovereign territories of Armenia, he said Iran would use its entire capacity to find peaceful solutions through dialogue.
