Iran Exports Over $12.2 Billion in Minerals Last Year


TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Major mining and mineral companies of the country managed to export $12.239 billion worth of minerals in the previous year in 1401 (March 21, 2022 to March 20, 2023), showing a 3.5 percent hike in terms of weight as compared to the same period of last year.

Although Iran’s export of mines and minerals did not indicate any tangible growth in terms of weight last year (ended March 20, 2023), the value of minerals registered a 7.6 percent decline as compared to the last year’s corresponding period.

In the meantime, Islamic Republic of Iran exported $5.760 billion worth of minerals, witnessing a 22 and 6 percent decline in terms of value and weight respectively.

Furthermore, Iran exported $1.577 billion worth of copper products in the previous year (1401), indicating a 27% drop compared to the same period of the previous year.
