Mallorca Wins UEFA Futsal Champions League Title
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Mallorca Palma defeated Sporting Sunday night to win UEFA Futsal Champions League.
Mallorca defeated its Portuguese rival 5-3 in penalty shootout.
Iran international player Hossein Tayebi scored a penalty for Mallorca.
He scored seven goals in the tournament to help his Spanish team win the title.
The win represented the first major sporting title at club level for the island of Mallorca.
Mallorca goalkeeper Luan Muller was also named UEFA Futsal Champions League Player of the Tournament by the UEFA technical observer panel.
