Iran, Burkina Faso Emphasize Expanding Bilateral Cooperation


TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran and Burkina Faso are determined to develop their cooperation in all fields, officials from the two countries said.

Iranian Minister of Labor, Cooperatives and Social Welfare Seyed Sowlat Mortazavi in a meeting in Tehran on Monday with Burkina Faso's Minister of Industrial Development, Trade, Handicrafts and Small and Medium Enterprises Serge Gnaniodem Poda expressed hope that social and economic cooperation between the two countries will develop significantly.

Iran is making its utmost effort to develop diplomatic relations with African countries particularly in the political and economic fields, he said, adding that establishing interaction with Burkina Faso is of paramount importance for Iran from different aspects.

Tehran is ready to prepare a draft text of cooperation between the two countries in order to expand cooperation and joint interactions, Mortazavi added.

Burkina Faso's Minister of Industrial Development, Trade, Handicrafts, for his part, hailed the current relations between Tehran and Ouagadougou and said his country is willing to develop cooperation with Iran in various fields.

Sharing experiences in the technical and vocational training fields, exchanging university professors, boosting bilateral cooperation in the oil, gas and petrochemical fields, construction materials, rail, shipping, etc. were of the other issues discussed between the two parties.
