Iran, Denmark Weigh Plans to Broaden Ties


TEHRAN (Tasnim) – The foreign ministers of Iran and Denmark discussed ways to boost relations between Tehran and Copenhagen.

In a telephone conversation on Sunday night, Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian and his Danish counterpart Lars Lokke Rasmussen discussed the latest state of bilateral relations and ways to develop ties.

The Iranian foreign minister considered the historical relations between the two countries as a great asset for both sides and emphasized the necessity to address the existing challenges and develop the bilateral relations.

The foreign minister of Denmark, for his part, expressed his strong opposition to insults to Holy Quran and condemned such actions.

The two senior diplomats further agreed to establish a mechanism to strengthen consular consultations between Iran and Denmark.
