VP Proposes Setting Up Iran-UAE Joint Online Marketplace


TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran's Vice president for Women and Family Affairs suggested the establishment of a joint online marketplace between Iran and the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

Vice President for Women and Family Affairs Ensieh Khazali met and held talks with the representatives of the UAE Women’s General Union in Tehran on Thursday to discuss bilateral issues.

Getting familiar with the activities of the union in the United Arab Emirates and also acquiring statistics on the active presence of Emirati women in political positions, the vice president proposed the establishment of a joint online marketplace (special for women of the two countries) as well as sharing the experience of empowering Iranian women in the handicrafts and jewelry fields.

The adviser to the Women’s General Union of the United Arab Emirates expressed satisfaction with being present in Iran and taking advantage of the fruitful experience of Iran in the field of empowering women.

Turning to the deep historical relations between Iran and the UAE, Mohammad Ebrahim Mansour called for sharing technical know-how and exchanging experts in women and family affairs.

The two sides emphasized maintaining Islamic values in the fields of women and family affairs and called for further development of amicable ties between Iran and UAE in various fields such as economic relations in particular.
