Iran-US Trade Value Hits $17.8 Million in 4 Months


TEHRAN (Tasnim) – The US Bureau of Statistics said the country’s export of non-oil products to Iran exceeded $17.5 million in the first four months of 2023 (January to April), registering a 29 percent growth compared to last year’s corresponding period.

In its latest report, the Bureau put the trade exchanges between Iran and the United States from January to April 2023 at $17.8 million, showing a two percent decline compared to same period of last year.

Iran and the US had exchanged over $18.2 million worth of non-oil products from January to April 2022, the report added.

The US exports value to Iran has witnessed a 29 percent hike in this period as the United States had exported $13.5 million worth of products to Iran from January to April 2022.

However, the US imported $0.3 million worth of products from Iran in the first four months of the current year, showing a 93 percent decline compared to the same period of last year.

The United States had imported $4.7 million worth of non-oil products from Iran from January to April 2022.
