Uzbekistan Keen on Using Know-How of Iran Agricultural Sector


TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Uzbekistan’s minister of agriculture called for taking advantage of high potentials and know-how of Iran’s agricultural sector.

Aziz Voitov made the remarks on Saturday at the Iran-Uzbekistan Joint Economic Cooperation Commission and said that Iran has gained fruitful experiences in the agricultural sector and Uzbekistan should take advantage of the high capabilities of the country optimally.

Uzbekistan enjoys suitable facilities in the agricultural sector, he emphasized, adding that the country is equipped with appropriate facilities in the field of processing agricultural products which can be promoted using technical know-how and technology available in Iran.

According to him, the production of seeds and construction of agricultural equipment and machinery create a suitable platform for joint investment between Iran and Uzbekistan.

Iran and Uzbekistan have the potential to boost their bilateral trade to $1 billion, the Uzbek minister of agriculture concluded.
