Iran, Brazil Emphasize Strengthening Trade Ties: Official
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Following bilateral talks between Iran’s public and private sectors and Brazilian firms at the Agrofood Exhibition, the chairman of the Iran-Brazil Joint Chamber of Commerce hoped for a considerable hike in the volume of trade exchanges between the two countries.
Seyed Fakhreddin Amerian pointed to the participation of 10 Brazilian companies at the International Agrofood Exhibition dubbed “Iran Agrofood 2023” and said the pavilion of Brazil in this edition of the exhibition was highly welcomed by both the Iranian public and private sectors.
Companies active in the fields of trading coffee, corn, soya, wheat, chicken, meat and livestock and agricultural raw materials participated in the exhibition, he said, adding that the participation of two Brazilian banks was of great importance to facilitate the financial affairs of Iranian and Brazilian businesspersons.
Interaction and cooperation of two Brazilian banks in Iran are promising news in line with bolstering bilateral relations, he emphasized.
Amerian pointed to the participation of Iran Agricultural Machinery Association in the exhibition and said, “This year, joint expert-level meetings were held between heads of Iran Horticulturists Association, Agricultural Machinery Trade Union, Iran Agricultural Association and Brazil Association of Agriculture in line with boosting bilateral cooperation in the field of related equipment and machinery.”
The Iran Agrofood Exhibition 2023 was held on June 16-19, 2023 at Tehran International Exhibition Center.
