Armenian, Azerbaijani Foreign Ministers to Meet in Washington for Peace Talks


TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan announced during a government meeting that the country’s Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan and Foreign Minister of Azerbaijan Republic Jeyhun Bayramov will hold a meeting in Washington next week.

Pashinyan emphasized the importance of the Armenian side focusing all efforts on establishing peace and reaching an agreement to settle relations, according to TASS.

In his statement, Pashinyan reiterated the position of Armenia, stating, "Regarding Armenian-Azerbaijani relations, our position remains the same. We must concentrate all of our efforts on establishing peace and concluding an agreement for the settlement of relations. The Armenian and Azerbaijani foreign ministers will meet in Washington next week, and our delegation is heading to the United States with that (goal) in mind."
