Iran Innovation, Technology Office Launched in Uganda


TEHRAN (Tasnim) – The Iran Innovation and Technology Office was inaugurated in a ceremony in Kampala, the capital of Uganda.

The office is the center and exhibition of Iranian knowledge-based products in Uganda in various fields of food, agriculture, pharmaceutical, medical equipment, livestock and poultry vaccines, herbal medicines, food supplements and agricultural drones.

The purpose of establishing this office is to create new export markets and introduce knowledge-based products to African markets, as well as to create a field for the development of joint cooperation, especially in East Africa.

It was launched in the presence of Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi and his accompanying delegation, who traveled to Uganda on Wednesday.

Earlier, Raisi had visited Kenya and after Uganda, he went to Zimbabwe on the last leg of his African tour.
