Iran’s Women’s Basketball Team Defeats Jordan: Friendly
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran’s women’s basketball team defeated Jordan 57-54 in a friendly match on Sunday.
Iran had defeated Jordan 71-45 in its first friendly match held in Amman, Jordan.
Team Melli Banovan will play two more friendly matches with Jordan.
The matches are played as part of preparation for the 2023 FIBA Women's Asia Cup Division B.
Iran has been drawn in Pool A along with Malaysia, Mongolia and Indonesia.
Pool B consists of Kazakhstan, Sri Lanka, Jordan and Thailand.
Iran will start the campaign with a match against Malaysia, slated for August 13 and play Mongolia and Indonesia in the following days.
The competition will be held in Bangkok, Thailand from August 13 to 19.
