NPC Chief Hails Achievements in Iran Petrochemical Industry

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – The achievements gained in Iran’s petrochemical industry are due to the unflinching efforts of expert engineers and manpower, the chief executive of National Petrochemical Company (NPC) said.

With the giant steps taken at the company, it is hoped that there will be growing interest from some countries for purchasing petrochemical parts, equipment and catalysts from Iranian companies, Morteza Shahmirzaei added.

The country is equipped with ample capacities and potential for the development of the petrochemical industry, he maintained.

Following the increase of production capacity of Iran’s petrochemical industry in coming years and the expansion of the target markets, giant steps should be taken in creating more added value and produce final products in cooperation and collaboration with holdings and petrochemical companies, he emphasized.

The deputy oil minister termed efficient and competent manpower in the petrochemical industry as one of the main factors behind the development of this strategic industry and added that his company owes its successes to the unsparing efforts of the most experienced manpower of the country.

Elsewhere in his remarks, Shahmirzaei called on manpower and engineers of the National Petrochemical Company to use all their technical know-how and capabilities in order to realize its predefined objectives.

In this regard, knowledge-based companies and information and technology parks can also materialize most of the economic objectives of the country, he said.
