Iran to Send Trade Delegation to Brazil: Official
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran’s Trade Center in Brazil in cooperation with the Trade Promotion Organization of Iran (TPOI) is planning for the dispatch of a large trade delegation to the South American country in the Iranian calendar month of Mehr (September-October).
Chairman of the Iran-Brazil Joint Chamber of Commerce Seyed Fakhreddin Amerian said this in an interview with IRNA on Sunday and added that correspondence and calls for notices have been made to the private, semi-public and public companies in this regard.
So far, traders and a number of companies and economic activists in the groups of various commodities including agriculture, mine, nuts, and petrochemical as well as startup activists have voiced their readiness in this respect, he maintained.
Holding Business-to-Business (B2B) meetings with corresponding companies, assessing the trade opportunities and meeting with Brazilian officials in the fields of trade and economy are among the programs envisioned for the Iranian trade delegation, he stated.
After years since the dispatching of the last trade delegation of Brazil, sending a trade delegation to this country is a turning point for improving bilateral trade-economic ties, he said, adding, “We expect that several memoranda of understanding (MoUs) and agreements would be inked between the two sides.”
The Iran Trade Center in Brazil intends to pave the way for the presence of a Brazilian trade delegation in Iran in the coming year, he went on to say.
