Iran Exported 45 MCM Gas/Day Last Year, Official Says
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran exported 45 million cubic meters (MCM) of gas per day in the last Iranian calendar year (March 21, 2022 to March 20, 2023), the managing director of Iranian Gas Transmission Company (IGTC) said.
Speaking in a news conference on Saturday, Gholam Abbas Hosseini put the country’s current gas transmission capacity at about one billion cubic meters per day.
He went on to say that 274 billion cubic meters of gas were transmitted in the country last year.
In addition, 4.5 million cubic meters of gas were swapped from Turkmenistan to the Republic of Azerbaijan last year, he said.
