Iran Beach Soccer into 2nd CIS Games Final
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran’s beach soccer team beat Russia in penalty shootout in the II Games of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) semifinals on Tuesday.
The match ended 4-4 in regular time.
Team Melli had earlier defeated Azerbaijan and the UAE and lost to Belarus in Group B.
The 2nd CIS Games are being held in Belarus from August 4 to 14.
The CIS Games are a regular complex event in the field of physical culture and sports, covering national sports, the most popular within the CIS member states, Olympic and non-Olympic sports.
