President Urges Inquiry into Terrorist Attack in Iran’s Shiraz

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi ordered an immediate probe into Sunday evening’s fatal terrorist attack on the Shah-e Cheragh shrine in the southern city of Shiraz.

Following the heinous terrorist attack on the shrine of Shah-e Cheragh that has killed at least two people, Raisi urged the Ministry of Intelligence and other agencies responsible for intelligence, security, law enforcement, and justice to quickly and accurately identify the visible and hidden hands of this heinous crime and bring them to justice for their shameful crimes, the president’s website reported.

The text of his message is as follows:

In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful

The heinous terrorist attack on the third holy shrine of Ahl al-Bayt, H.H. Ahmad bin Musa Al-Kadhim Shahcheragh (AS), which led to the martyrdom and injury of a number of servants and pilgrims of this holy shrine, once again filled the hearts of the Iranian nation with great pain and sorrow.

The enemies of dear Iran, desperate and unable to confront the strong will of the great nation of Iran, showed their ugly faces by committing another bloody crime.

While offering my condolences to the families of the martyrs, the Supreme Leader and the noble nation of Iran, I pray to the Almighty for the speedy recovery of the injured.

The Ministry of Intelligence and other agencies responsible for intelligence, security, law enforcement, and justice must quickly and accurately identify the visible and hidden hands of this heinous crime and bring them to justice to be punished for their shameful crimes.

Certainly, the dear people of Iran, by overcoming the evil conspiracies of the enemies, will once again fail them in achieving their sinister goals.

Seyyed Ebrahim Raisi

President of the Islamic Republic of Iran
