U-20 World Wrestling Championships: Rezaei Wins Silver
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Ali Rezaei of Iran lost to Meyer Shapirov 11-6 at the U-20 World Wrestling Championships 2023 on Tuesday.
The Iranian freestyler lost to his American opponent in the final bout of 70kg.
The U-20 World Wrestling Championships 2023 started in Amman, Jordan on August 14 and will run until August 20.
The event had originally been scheduled to be held in Warsaw, Poland from August 14-20. Due to Poland's refusal to issue visas to Russian and Belarusian wrestlers, the United World Wrestling moved the tournament from Poland to Jordan.
