Esteghlal Edges Malavan: IPL
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Esteghlal football team beat Malavan 1-0 on Thursday in the 2023-24 Iran Professional League (IPL) Matchweek 2.
Malavan was awarded a penalty in the early minutes of the match but Mehran Ahmadi missed his opportunity.
With 10 minutes remaining, Mohammad Hossein Moradmand scored the winner in Tehran’s Azadi Stadium.
Esteghlal sits second in the table before Sepahan due to an inferior goal difference.
