Sepahan to Face Air Force Club in Thrilling Clash: ACL 2023-24
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Air Force Club of Iraq and Iran's Sepahan are set for a thrilling clash in Group C of the AFC Champions League 2023-24 on Monday.
With Saudi Arabia's Al Ittihad and AGMK FC of Uzbekistan also in the group, both teams know a winning start will be crucial if they are to enjoy successful campaigns.
Air Force Club, three-time AFC Cup winner, has found the AFC Champions League a much tougher competition as its previous five campaigns have all ended at the group stage.
It finished third in their group in 2022 and will be desperate to make an impact this season, with a new portfolio of competitions to kick off in the 2024-25.
Sepahan will also be equally eager to shine in their 14th appearance in the competition.
It has not been able to better its runner-up finish of 2007 but will head into the tie in decent form, having kicked off its domestic season on a high note.
