Iran Handball Downs Mongolia at Asian Games
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran defeated Mongolia 50-16 in the opening match of the 2022 Asian Games on Sunday.
Team Melli will play Japan and Saudi Arabia on Monday and Wednesday, respectively.
A total of 13 men’s teams, divided in four groups, have participate in the handball competition.
A record high of nearly 12,500 athletes from 45 countries and territories compete across 40 sports in the 2022 Asian Games.
Iran has sent 289 male and female athletes to the Games in 34 sports events.
