Iran Exports Catalysts to Russia

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – An Iranian knowledge-based company has exported about $9 million worth of catalysts to Russia in six months, a deputy oil minister said.

Ahmad Assadzadeh said Iran has exported the catalysts to Russia to meet the demands of its oil and gas industries.

He put the value of the catalysts exported to Russia in 2022 at $8 million, adding, “It is expected that export of Iranian-made catalysts to the Russian Federation will increase in the current year (which started on March 21, 2023).”

He then pointed to the talks that Iranian Oil Minister Javad Owji and Russia’s Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak have held in Moscow, saying plans have been discussed for the participation of Russia in the feasibility studies for the development of three Iranian oilfields.

The Russian oil and gas companies have voiced their readiness to invest in Iran’s lucrative petrochemical industry, Assadzadeh added.
