Israeli Attacks on Gaza Claim at Least 70 More Lives

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Israeli attacks on Gaza on Monday morning resulted in the deaths of at least 10 more people, according to Hamas officials, who had earlier reported the killing of 60 others in overnight attacks.

The media office in the blockaded Gaza Strip released a statement, saying, "More than 60 were martyred in the (Israeli) raids" during the night. This includes 17 individuals who lost their lives in a single strike that hit a house in Jabaliya, located in northern Gaza.

A subsequent statement from the Hamas media office revealed that at least 10 more people lost their lives in these new strikes, bringing the overall toll since Sunday night to at least 70.

The Israeli military, in a statement, claimed to have hit "over 320 military targets in the Gaza Strip" in the past 24 hours.

The Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS) has released footage that shows Israeli air strikes in the vicinity of Gaza's al-Quds hospital. These strikes occurred during a visit by an International Committee of the Red Cross delegation.

Previously, Palestinian media reported Israeli jets targeting the surroundings of al-Shifa and al-Quds hospitals on Sunday.

In the footage released early on Monday, at least two explosions can be heard, accompanied by people frantically running and yelling for others to take shelter.

Palestinian authorities state that more than 400 people have lost their lives in the past 24 hours alone.

The authorities in Gaza report that more than 4,650 people have been killed in the besieged enclave since October 7, underscoring the ongoing and severe humanitarian crisis in the region.
