Russian Warplanes Strike Militant Positions in Syria: Military Official


TEHRAN (Tasnim) – The Russian Aerospace Forces conducted an airstrike on facilities controlled by illegal armed groups responsible for attacks on the Syrian military, according to Rear Adm. Vadim Kulit, the deputy chief of the Russian Center for Reconciliation of the Opposing Parties in Syria.

"Up to ten militants were killed in the strikes," Rear Adm. Vadim Kulit stated, adding that the targets included "two underground hideouts and a warehouse with drone parts near the settlements of Inkzik and Kansafra."

Kulit also reported that one Syrian serviceman was injured in a militant shelling incident that targeted Syrian military positions in the Abbad district. The shelling originated from areas controlled by militants near the settlement of Afes. 

In a separate development, the Russian center documented 15 violations committed by aircraft from the US-led coalition in the Al-Tanf area of Syria in the past day. These violations were attributed to various fighter jets and unmanned aerial vehicles.
