Iranian, Russian Diplomats Deplore Continued Massacre of People in Gaza
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Aliasghar Khaji, a senior adviser to Iranian foreign minister, Alexander Lavrentiev, Russia’s special envoy for Syria, held talks in Tehran about the developments in the region,
Lavrentiev is visiting Tehran at the head of a delegation.
During the meeting on Wednesday, the two officials exchanged views about the latest developments in Syria and the region, especially the Zionist regime’s crimes against the oppressed people of Gaza.
They expressed deep concern over the Zionist regime’s massacre of Gazans in cold blood.
Khaji and Lavrentiev further called for an immediate end to the attacks, the establishment of a ceasefire and the delivery of international relief aid to the people of Gaza, the website of the Iranian Foreign Ministry reported.
Khaji said the brutal attacks by the Zionist regime on the oppressed people of Gaza and the killing of thousands of women and children are happening due to the full support of the US, adding that these crimes cannot be described anything but collective punishment and genocide.
In the meeting, the two sides also exchanged views over the latest political developments in Syria and the situation on the battlefield as well as the initiatives of both sides to help improve the economic and humanitarian situation and efforts aimed at pressing ahead with the political process in the Arab country.
